Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October 1, 2020 - October 31, 2020

Throughout the year, Florida’s Clerks of Court work alongside local law enforcement and the courts to provide essential services that help protect domestic violence survivors.

Domestic violence is a tough issue. It’s something that isn’t easy to talk about. And it’s something no one should have to face.

But the reality is, a third of women and a quarter of men have experienced some form of violence from a partner.

Clerks of Court are here to help. Across the state, Florida’s Clerks of Court are continuing to process domestic violence injunctions, or restraining orders, for those seeking help from an abusive relationship, sexual violence, and stalking.

These court orders are an essential service that legally stops abusers from continuing their abuse and threats.

If you or someone you know is facing a domestic violence situation – Florida’s Clerks of Court are eager, prepared, and can provide various resources to help…

…because no one should have to face these situations alone.
