- Ask the recipient to click a link or provide banking information
- Use international phone numbers
- Refer to refunds and laws that do not apply or exist
- Pressure the recipient with deadlines
The Department has posted a Current Topic on our website’s homepage, as well as information on their social media platforms, warning recipients not to reply to the message or click on any links.

- · You can report scams to the Federal Trade Commission, the Florida Office of the Attorney General, or the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
